Hi friends, Dave here from TruthForFree. I hope you enjoy your visit. While you’re here, please consider subscribing to the new TruthForFree Blog (enter your e-mail address in the sidebar menu). It’s 100% free and it’s a great way to keep up with new articles, new posts, and site change information (and you will never be sent advertising or asked to donate anything). This is completely free for all our visitors to enjoy and you can unsubscribe anytime you want.
All the articles and e-books available as downloads from this site have been contributed by people who generally describe themselves as sincere believers in/followers of Jesus, though are not necessarily proponents of any “religious organization” or denominational group. All articles and e-books are 100% free! You are welcome to use these materials to enhance your personal study of Scripture as well as to share and encourage others with.
I truly hope you enjoy the content provided here and find it encouraging and thought-provoking. I started this site waaay back in 1995 when I was just learning to code websites and never dreamed it would grow to the point where so many people visit and write. Currently I’m receiving somewhere between 20-80 e-mails a day (not to mention blog comments to sort through now) and sometimes it can be really hard to keep up. Please know that I read every e-mail but sometimes it’s hard to find time to respond right away. I apologize if you have written and have not received a response yet. If you’ve written a comment in the blog and haven’t seen it post, please contact me directly through the Contact page on this site to let me know about it. Sometimes legitimate comments are incorrectly marked as SPAM but once I approve your comment, all future comments will post without hesitation.
The content in articles, e-books and blog posts available on this website are presented freely for those who have ears to hear. TruthForFree.com does not represent any organization or denomination and is not supported by (nor was it created to support) any institutional church or religious system (and we’re not one of those post-modern “churches for those who aren’t into church” either). Our understanding of “church”, as the Bible presents it, is that church simply represents those who have been called into God’s family through (the Gospel of) Jesus Christ. That’s it! This is a spiritual reality that has nothing to do with whether or not people choose to attend religious services or affiliate themselves with various denominations. The purpose of this website is to encourage people with the truth that a relationship with God is not only possible, but freely available to all who reach out to Him and believe that Jesus died as the sacrifice for sin, was burried and then rose again from the dead (granting all who believe new life in Him).
In Christ there are no obligations to join or attend institutional churches (not even “house churches”), clubs, programs, denominations, follow gurus, change your diet, wear special underwear, confess to a priest, go door to door, pay money to some organization, or submit to legalistic regiments or religious rituals. God’s arms are open to all who will embrace Him and, as they enter into a real relationship with Him, He alone will speak to their heart and direct their path. We believe that one of the ways He does this is through the wisdom of Scripture (contained in the Bible). This website seeks to encourage people with regard for Bible truths, which we also hold to be trustworthy, reliable and inspired by God Himself. As people walk this path of true relationship with God, we believe that – in time – He will divinely connect them with others who are walking that same path and thus encourage genuine friendship, fellowship and family-like spiritual unity among them. These are not things that we believe we should be anxious about, but trust completely to God to construct in His timing and according to His divine purpose.
Thanks again for visiting the site and for excusing the mess while it’s under construction.
