Carnivore is a fancy word that just means “animal-based” eating. There is a lot of variety among those who choose to adopt a carnivore style of eating… Some are very strict in the application and only consume meat, salt and water and use no other seasonings… Some add seasonings, no or low-sugar condiments, limited vegetables (for flavor) like onions and garlic… Some qualify more as “hyper-carnivore”, which means that at least 70% of the diet is meat/animal-based and the other 30% includes veggies and other seasonings, maybe some keto-friendly sweeteners or products, coffee, maybe even a little occasional fruit (like berries or watermelon), etc. Some carnivores consume no dairy at all… Some consume it regularly… We tend to fall somewhere close to the hyper-carnivore camp, but have enjoyed multiple periods of full on carnivore eating. In truth, we honestly feel best eating closer to the full carnivore spectrum, which is very close to zero carbohydrates and promotes very low inflammation and is exceptionally healthy (in our experience)… Here are some of our favorite recipes…
